1-Click Hermes Agent Install with Pinokio
Install Hermes Agent in one click using Pinokio — no terminal, no config files, just click and go.
Pinokio is a one-click launcher for AI tools — it handles all the installation complexity so you can have Hermes running in minutes without touching a terminal or config file.
Before you start:
- ☑A Windows, macOS, or Linux machine (Pinokio supports all three)
- ☑Pinokio downloaded from pinokio.computer
- ☑An API key ready if you want cloud inference (not needed if using Ollama)
Steps

Install Pinokio
Download Pinokio from pinokio.computer for your OS (Windows, macOS, Linux)

Search for Hermes
Open Pinokio and search for 'Hermes Agent' in the app directory

Click Install
Click the Install button — Pinokio handles all dependencies automatically

Configure
Use the built-in settings UI to add your API key and connect channels

Launch
Click Start and Hermes is running — access via the web UI or your connected channels

Troubleshooting
❌ Hermes doesn't appear in Pinokio's app directory
✅ Update Pinokio to the latest version. The Hermes app listing may not appear in older Pinokio versions. Check pinokio.computer for updates.
❌ Pinokio install fails partway through
✅ Check your disk space — Pinokio installs Python, Node.js, and model weights which can require several GB. Ensure you have at least 5GB free before installing.
❌ Settings changes in Pinokio don't take effect
✅ After changing settings in Pinokio's UI, click Stop and then Start to fully restart Hermes. Settings changes don't hot-reload automatically.
