Quick answer#
Agency Label Academy is a sensible free starting point for learning to sell and deliver local-business websites with an AI agent. It is not a free AI model, a managed production team, or a promise of clients. The public course lists 12 modules and 59 lessons, and explains that it introduces learners to Agency Label's platform and optional white-label services.[1]
The important price distinction is between free lessons, a free self-serve workspace, and the costs of doing the work. Agency Label publishes no numeric Pro subscription price or invoicing platform-fee percentage. Pro is a quoted monthly subscription; fulfillment is quoted separately; your agent runs with your own tooling.[2]
- Best for: a self-directed beginner who wants an agency operating manual, scripts and a specific website-delivery workflow.
- Avoid if: you need scheduled instructor feedback, an accredited credential, audited earnings evidence, or a fully priced managed business.
- Start here: read the lessons without paying, then prove one request-to-preview workflow on a test site before moving client work.
- Strongest alternative: a live, platform-specific cohort if feedback is the missing ingredient, not another library of generic prompts.
Verified October 8, 2026. This is a source-based review of public lessons, pricing, identity, resources, advertising visibility and review evidence. We did not enroll in paid services, connect a production workspace, test the daemon, or verify student earnings. This site also publishes Hermes and FlyHermes guides; those are alternatives for particular jobs, not substitutes for every course benefit.
What Agency Label Academy actually teaches#
The Academy is a written, self-paced manual. Modules 1–6 cover the agency model, niche selection, offers, outreach, follow-up, pricing and closing. Modules 7–9 move into agent-assisted delivery, client onboarding and conversion-focused websites. Modules 10–12 cover recurring revenue, operations and financial metrics.[1]
This is a narrower and more useful description than “learn AI.” The intended output is a web agency serving businesses, not a general-purpose agent engineering qualification. A learner wanting machine-learning theory or a vendor-neutral software architecture curriculum should choose differently.
The public connection lesson describes a concrete sequence: create a workspace and test client, get the site boilerplate, configure the agent's MCP connection, then optionally install the listen daemon. It proposes changing a footer phone number on a branch and approving the preview as the first end-to-end check.[5]
That is instructional evidence, not evidence that the integration worked in our environment. We verified the lesson is publicly readable; we did not run its setup steps. Use the MCP security checklist before giving an agent access to a real client queue.
Pricing: free tuition does not mean zero operating cost#
The Academy page says the course is free and that no card or trial clock is needed for the advertised free platform tier.[1] The pricing page lists unlimited clients, seats, requests and agent runs on Free, alongside reporting, leads, invoicing, quotes and a client portal carrying Agency Label branding.[2]
The paid boundary is explicit, but the amounts are not:
- Pro: a monthly subscription for custom-domain white-labeling, reduced invoicing fees and access to the fulfillment team; the public page asks you to book a demo for numbers.[2]
- White-label services: access is not prepaid delivery. Each project or plan is scoped and quoted separately.[2]
- Invoice collections: Stripe processing plus an additional Agency Label platform fee; Pro reduces the latter. The inspected page does not state its percentage.[2]
- Agent runs: Agency Label says it does not meter them, but the agent runs on your own machine with your own tooling.[2]
Do not invent a Pro price from another agency's subscription or interpret “unlimited agent runs” as unlimited included model inference. Ask for a written quote that names the platform fee, processing charges, currency, taxes and fulfillment scope before calculating a resale margin.
The agent operating-cost worksheet is useful here even if you choose a different agent: separate the subscription, usage, hosting and time required to review an accepted deliverable.
Hidden costs and the work that remains yours#
The tools lesson calls for an AI coding agent such as Claude Code or an equivalent, an agency domain and professional email, a scheduler, and Stripe. It suggests starting outreach with existing tools rather than immediately buying sending infrastructure.[4]
Our budgeting recommendation is broader than the lesson's fixed-cost summary:
- Verify your chosen agent's subscription or API costs and usage limits.
- Identify who pays for client-site deployment, domains, email and ongoing maintenance.
- Budget failed runs, revisions and human review, not just the first generated page.
- Keep processor fees and platform invoicing fees separate from revenue.
- Reserve time for sales, support, backups and fixing an incorrect change.
These are cost categories to investigate, not extra prices we measured. A free workspace can remove back-office subscriptions without making production, selling or responsibility free.
Resources: inspect the files before depending on them#
The Academy advertises agent skills, a pre-instrumented website boilerplate and SOP templates through its resources library.[1] The connection lesson says the library contains copy-paste setup guides for agents.[5]
The public resources and library pages we inspected instead prominently enumerate eight resources: launch, redesign, technical SEO, on-page SEO, local SEO, conversion, onboarding and proposal documents.[12][15] We did not verify downloadable agent skills, a boilerplate repository or a complete per-agent installer from those pages.
That does not establish that those assets do not exist elsewhere. It means the public syllabus promise and the assets we could inspect are not the same evidence. Before choosing this as your delivery system, request the exact repository, license, installation guide, supported agent versions and update policy. “Read the course” and “ready to deliver a client site” are different milestones.
Creator identity and evidence-backed benefits#
Agency Label's About page names Ethan Rogers as founder and describes an AI-led production model with human review.[3] That establishes the site's stated operator identity, not an independently audited company history, legal-entity verification or a student-success rate.
The strongest benefits visible in the materials are practical:
- A public curriculum lets you assess specificity before spending money.[1]
- Sales, scope discipline, onboarding and margin accounting sit alongside delivery rather than being treated as automatic consequences of learning AI.[1]
- The connection lesson preserves a preview-and-approval step instead of presenting unchecked publishing as the objective.[5]
- The commercial incentive is disclosed: the Academy introduces agencies to the platform and potential fulfillment work.[1]
Our assessment is that those features justify reading it. They do not justify purchasing a quoted service without inspecting examples, deliverables and contract terms.
Refund, cancellation and access terms#
There is no Academy tuition to refund under the advertised free offer.[1] That is not a refund policy for Pro, consulting or fulfillment.
The pricing FAQ says Pro is month to month and cancellation returns the account to Free with data, clients and requests retained.[2] Its final answer says “minus the portal and the white-labeling,” while the same pricing page lists a branded client portal on Free.[2] Clarify exactly what survives a downgrade, especially client access and your custom-domain links; do not assume the wording guarantees an unchanged portal experience.
We did not find a public refund window for paid services in the inspected pages. A direct /terms probe returned a 404, and that failure is not proof that no contract exists. Obtain the actual agreement before payment: refund eligibility, notice timing, unfinished work, ownership, export rights and what happens to hosted client sites.
Complaints, Reddit and advertising: what was verified#
The review search was limited to publicly retrievable evidence. Exact-domain and brand searches, Reddit searches for the domain, and a Trustpilot-targeted search did not produce a course-specific independent review we could substantiate. Some results concerned White Label Agency, a different domain and business; those ratings must not be assigned to Agency Label.
This is an evidence gap, not a clean bill of health or a basis for calling the Academy a scam. Evaluate the public lessons directly, and ask for a reference relevant to the particular paid service you might buy.
On October 8, the Google Ads Transparency Center domain lookup for agencylabel.com displayed 0 ads / No ads found.[17] The Meta Ad Library lookup returned a 403 and only the library interface. We therefore verified no paid-ad ID, creative text or ad start date. The Academy's own “free” positioning is landing-page copy, not proof of a currently running advertisement.[1]
A domain search can miss other advertiser accounts or landing domains. These checks establish the limits of this review, not that the company never advertises.
Alternatives: choose the missing kind of help#
If your missing skill is website-agency sales and scoping, this free manual is a reasonable first stop. If you need an instructor to inspect your implementation, compare the Michael Reimer BootCamp V3.0 review: that offer is built around HighLevel and live sessions, with different ongoing costs. Neither curriculum should win solely because one uses the word “free.”
If your goal is learning one workflow rather than starting a platform-specific agency, use learn AI by shipping with an agent. Define an output, ask for a plan, execute a small step, inspect it and ask the next question. The difference is adapting instruction to your current problem; it does not eliminate the need for expert judgment or qualified legal advice.
Hermes is an open-source, configurable agent with tools and persistent context.[10] The Hermes installation guide is the control-oriented route. This review has not validated Hermes compatibility with Agency Label's MCP server or daemon, so do not treat it as a certified integration recommendation.
FlyHermes offers managed Hermes infrastructure and browser/mobile access.[11] Use the self-hosted versus managed comparison when maintenance is the obstacle. The distinction is operational ownership, not an assertion that self-hosted Hermes lacks a browser interface. Managed hosting does not supply Agency Label fulfillment, guarantee an integration or replace an agency coach.
Decision: read first, validate delivery second#
Read the free lessons if the website-agency model matches your goal. Delay paid upgrades until you can inspect what the money buys. A sensible acceptance checklist is:
- Write one scoped offer for one type of client, including what revisions are excluded.
- Obtain the actual boilerplate, agent instructions and licenses promised by your intended workflow.
- On a test site, follow a request through branch, preview, approval and rollback.
- Get the Pro price, invoice fee and fulfillment quote in writing, including cancellation and refund terms.
- Confirm client-data access and export behavior before onboarding a paying customer.
This is a proposed evaluation, not a test we performed. If it exposes a missing asset or unclear contract, resolve that before selling a delivery promise to someone else.
